Generation 1.1

What Now?

When I walked into the house that was a mere two metres from where I was thrown. There was nothing there to show of where I came from. I looked around hoping no one notice a girl appearing from no where.

I wonder where I was.

I walked up the steps to the house and walked in, there was a man standing in the living room.

"You must be who Emit spoke of."

"Shh girl and listen, I do not have much time. You are in Monte Vista and if you are to change your family linage then you must bare 10 children and the next child must do so until there are 100 of you. Then your family linage will be safe. Okay? Bye."

And with that the man was gone.

I poked at the fire thinking of his words.

Ten children over each generation for ten generations. It seemed doable but would take time, I had hoped that I would be able to fix the mistake by Jaybird and return to my place in the future. This was all confusing. Then I thought of Emit and his words, was living out the rest of my life in this world his price?

That was until I realized I was pregnant and knew what Emit's price was, the birth of his child in past but why? Why use me to get what he wanted, I'm sure there is more to it than just the child.

If I was to have this child or any children I should know what I am doing. As being an only child in the future I had no experience with siblings. So I made my first trip into town to pick up a baby book.

I had no clue what I was doing, I had picked up a child's novel but thankfully an older lady directed me to the appropriate aisle. Probably noticing my small bump and the confusion across my face.

I was startled at the things they described, I mortified that my child looked like the photos in the book. I didn't like the fact they took a lot of work to care for, I liked my peace and solitude, I guess that wasn't going to last for long.

I noticed that the Crystal flowers I had picked in the Wasteland were still in my care, I never made it to the local merchant to sell. So I planted them in hopes I would still receive money for them here.

The air was becoming quite chilly, the weather said snow was on the way. That would mean winter was right around the corner, I would need to go out and gather items before the snow fell, and covered what was out there.

I was able to bring items from the future with me which was great. It made me feel more at home in a unknown place and who knew if I would be able to travel home ever again.

I still couldn't believe there was a child growing inside me, would they have my hair or eye colour? Maybe both but what would they receive from their father? Hopefully not his hair colour, it was odd and would look out of place here.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Come on, breath it's not that bad..

The pain was excruciating but when they placed my baby boy on my chest, all was forgotten and I couldn't take my eyes off my son.
